BolSync is a Shopify app that automatically synchronizes orders, inventory, shipments, returns, and invoice requests between Bol.com and your Shopify store. This allows you to manage everything from Shopify without needing to visit the Bol.com seller portal.
The sync frequency depends on your plan:
- Professional: Every 5 minutes
- Basic: Every 30 minutes
- Free: Every hour
You can also manually trigger a sync from the dashboard at any time.
To use BolSync you need:
- An active Shopify store
- A Bol.com seller account with API access
- Your Bol.com Client ID and Client Secret (found in your Bol.com account)
No, BolSync only syncs orders that you ship yourself (Fulfilment by Retailer / FBR). Orders shipped by Bol.com through FBB are not synced, as you don't need to process these yourself.
Orders
When a customer places an order on Bol.com, it's automatically created as a draft order in Shopify. This includes all customer details, shipping address, and product information. The order is marked as "paid" since payment was already processed through Bol.com.
If a product is not mapped to a Shopify variant, BolSync tries to auto-match by EAN code (barcode). If this fails, the order won't be created in Shopify until you manually map the product in the Product Mapping section.
When a customer submits a cancellation request on Bol.com, you receive it in BolSync. You can approve or deny the request. When approved, both the Bol.com order and the Shopify order are cancelled.
Inventory
BolSync syncs inventory levels from Shopify to Bol.com. When your inventory changes in Shopify (through sales or manual adjustments), it's automatically updated on Bol.com. This only works for products with inventory tracking enabled in Shopify.
No, inventory sync is one-way: from Shopify to Bol.com. Shopify is your "source of truth" for inventory. When a Bol.com sale occurs, the order is synced to Shopify, which automatically reduces your Shopify inventory.
Shipments
When you fulfill an order in Shopify and add a tracking number, this information is automatically sent to Bol.com. The carrier is automatically matched to the correct Bol.com transporter code.

Returns
BolSync automatically detects new returns that customers register on Bol.com. You can see the return reason, RMA number, tracking info, and customer details. The corresponding Shopify order is automatically tagged with "return-initiated".
Yes, you can mark returns as handled with various options such as: return received, exchange product, return doesn't meet conditions, repair product, or customer keeps product.
